Electrohomeopathy is a natural healing system based on medicinal plants. It was developed in the 19th century by Count Cesare Mattei of Bologna, Italy, who believed that illness begins with an imbalance in the body's fluids – the blood and the lymph – and that carefully prepared plant essences can help restore that balance.
How are the remedies made?
The remedies are prepared from fresh medicinal plants through a gentle process of fermentation and distillation. Plants are combined into groups of remedies, each aimed at particular body systems – for example remedies for the lymphatic system, the blood and circulation, the chest and lungs, and fevers.
The main remedy groups
- Scrofoloso (S) – general and lymphatic remedies, often the starting point of treatment
- Canceroso (C) – deep-acting remedies for chronic conditions
- Angioitico (A) – blood and circulation
- Pettorale (P) – chest and respiratory complaints
- Febrifugo (F) – fevers
- Electricities – red, yellow, green, blue and white, used in small quantities or externally
What does treatment look like?
Your first visit includes a detailed history. The doctor then chooses a combination of remedies and dilutions for you, and writes how and when to take them. Follow-up visits track progress and adjust the plan. Treatment is personal – two patients with the same diagnosis may receive different remedies.
Electrohomeopathy can be taken alongside other treatment. Never stop medicines prescribed by another doctor without their advice.
